CHS Shooting Team
Christian High School Shooting Team participates in competition clay target shooting events, competing against youth athletes throughout CA and other states.  Our team has recently competed in the ATA Spring Grand in Tuscon, AZ, the California ATA and SCTP youth championships in Kingsburg, CA and the CYSSA National Championship in Las Vegas, NV.  CHS has Varsity and JV teams, and maintains a club program as well. Tryouts are open to all CHS female and male students.

We conduct a mandatory safety training and qualification program that every athlete must complete to be eligible to participate in the team practices and competitions, occurring at the beginning of the season (weekly October - December).  Once teams are established, we practice weekly from January through the end of the school year.  Although every athlete is encouraged to participate in all team events, not all competitions are mandatory.  It is noted, though, that the shooters who perform more successfully, are those who attend most if not all of the events.  Participation requires the athlete to joint American Trap Association (ATA/AIM).
